Baby Shower Candy Bar

My friend Katy and I threw a baby shower for our good friend Grace today, and we made our first attempt at creating a candy bar. We were thrilled because it came together beautifully.

M&M's

Bubblegum cigars & Jordan almonds

The most adorable paper. Ever.
We went to our local has-everything candy store, For the Love of Chocolate, and found almost everything we needed, including some of Grace's favorites:
Jordan Almonds
M&M's
Rock Candy on sticks
Bubblegum 'It's a Boy' Cigars
Blue Sour Straws
Blue Airheads
Pixie Sticks
Berry Blue Jelly Belly
and....
about 15 boxes of blue Sour Straws
Around some of the glass jars we used baby blue grosgain ribbon from Michael's, where we also found a couple glass containers. I found the paper on clearance at a local store and it has all the words to the song "You are my Sunshine" on it. How adorable!!! I only took a few pictures on my camera since Grace's husband let me use their new Canon SLR camera for the most part. One of my favorite moments was during the game "My Water Broke", where everyone has an ice cube with a plastic baby in the middle and the first one to suck the baby out of the ice cube wins. Lets just say it was hysterical! I am so excited for Grace and Jason and can't wait to meet their new addition coming hopefully around February 26!
