Today is Barbie's 50th birthday, and I've gotta say the girl still looks fabulous. I will never forget Peaches and Cream, my first Barbie, when I was three. She was beautiful and had a sparkly bodice and a gauzy peach ball gown. Wowza! I know a lot of people out there don't like Barbie and they think she causes "self-esteem" issues, but I think she's great. My sister and I had a 3 foot barbie townhouse with a cat that would meow when you touched it. Why can't this stuff entertain us forever?

I totally had the peaches n' cream barbie too!!!!!!!! I loved her dress...I always wanted one just like it :)
I used to love her soo much, now, she's just plastic!
But I'm gonna celebrate anyway!!

I never had that Barbie, but if I'd seen it as a little girl I'd definitely have wanted it. Heck, I kind of want it now! :D

Anywho...I have really enjoyed your blog and wanted to say "Thank you!" for the post about the Old Navy raincoats. I bought one last night for my honeymoon trip to Ireland next month.
My fiance and I are eloping in two weeks and then honeymooning in Ireland...so exciting!
