We finally get to L.A. six hours later and we had a 6 hour layover. SIX HOURS! We were starving when we got to L.A. so we stopped at California Pizza Kitchen for overpriced, burnt pizza. Yummy. All thoughts off counting calories were non-exsistent. We stuffed ourselves silly!
Six hour layovers make you a little crazy. Here I was wrapped up in our flight blankets and an US Weekly. We camped out on this set of seats and took turns sleeping so we could make sure our bags were safe. Here is Justin looking super cute in his reading glasses.
After the six hours we boarded a plane for Hawaii for six more hours in the air! When we finally got to Hawaii we were extremely exhausted. It was 10 pm in Honolulu and 4 am at home, so needless to say we were ready for bed! Here I am with the Aloha sign at the airport.
We had wanted to rent a Jeep Wrangler at the airport but after several attempts at closing the backs up we decided a Wrangler wasn't for us. I think the rental lady felt so bad for us that she upgraded us for no charge to a brand new Escape with leather seats. It was really nice to ride around in it! We got in the car and drove to the hotel. Upon checking in, the concierge found out we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded our standard hotel room to an executive suite. It had two lanai's (balconies), two full baths and a mini-kitchen and living area. We were thrilled!
Here is the view from the 24th floor of the resort and the pool. We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Rainbow Tower which was oceanfront. The view was absolutely stunning!
After all of that traveling we were starving so we again ate pizza. This was literally the closest spot to our hotel tower. We got carryout, ate pizza in the room and passed out!
Justin looking SO sleepy!
Stay tuned in for day two which I promise you was much more exciting than this!

I just went to Hawaii with my boyfriend and one of my favorite days was shopping at the Hilton Hawaiian Village!
Soooo many shops, and not enough money in my bank account :[
Haha.
Wow! That was a long day of travel! But I am sure it was well worth it once you got there. Hawaii is so gorgeous!
Nice work with all the upgrades :)
Ah yes, true Lassiter style!
So lucky, I want to go to Hawaii, it's on the list. Can't wait to see the other pics!
Thanks for the comment on my blog! I had to check out who you were and then I saw your Hawaii posts...my 8th anniversary was the 23rd of June and we spent the first three days of our honeymoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Alii Tower. Such good memories! Hope it was great.
