We got to get ready for breakfast. The Rainbow Tower of the hotel, where we stayed, has several restraunts on the ground floor. One was the Rainbow Lanai which overlooks the ocean. We both had the breakfast buffett which cost almost $30 per person! Let's just say that was the only time that we ate there.
The resort had a lot of gardens and ponds. We spotted these turtles on these rocks. They were so cute. They also had penguins and flamingos on the grounds. They were beautiful! After breakfast we went down to the beach for a few hours. The pool at the hotel was beautiful but I was so ticked off because by early morning all of the chairs had towels on them where people were "saving" their spots. We walked around the entire pool 3 times and couldn't find two chairs together. I'm going to say that 2/3 of these chairs were not even being used. That really bugs me! Waikiki beach is really pretty but the water is chilly and the sand is very rough. Justin loved playing in the water so I enjoyed watching him finding coral.
Later that evening we got dressed to go to downtown Waikiki, one block away from the ocean. The stores here are very high end with name brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, etc. We ate at Jimmy Buffet's Bar & Grill which was really yummy.
We were so tired after dinner so we went to bed early. I think it was around 8 pm or so. The wedding exhaustion really hit us so we slept a lot when we first got to Hawaii. It was such a wonderful day!

Oh honey...You did not just post a lovely comment about my room tour DURING YOUR HONEYMOON IN HAWAII????? Oh, I remember being there as a newlywed 11 years ago! :) Your wedding pix are absolutely to die for! Now I've gotta keep following to see how you're doing! Best, best wishes!
I love looking and hearing about your honeymoon! Hawaii is one of my favorite places! We thought about Hawaii as a choice, but settled on Aruba, since we only had 1 week. Can't wait to see/hear more.
