my dream bed (of the moment)

I have always loved the Quincy bed from Ethan Allen. It's a classic piece with bold, modern lines and the black finish really makes it pop. I think it is gorgeous and I would love to have it one day. The rosette quilt that they also sell is beautiful. From far away it looks like modern dots, but if you look closely it's actually hand-sewn yo-yo's, which make it lovely but quite pricey.

The crisp white duvet and shams really showcases the bed and quilt. I would love to see some monogramming on those Euro shams! The black and white checked pillows give it a cozy, country feel. I love the overall feeling of the room here.

Look at the detail in the yo-yo's. Love it!

It's very hard to work in a high-end residential design office because I want too many things that are way out of my price range. We sell rooms of window treatments that cost $10,000 and I can't afford window hardware from Lowe's! It almost spoils you because you become a design snob and want only the best of the best. I went to a 'river' house last week to choose rugs and fabrics for a few last minute details we needed to attend to. The house was gigantic and so beautiful. It had thick, chunky white molding around all of the windows and walls. There was beadboard on all of the ceilings and the stairs were 4 feet wide. It looked amazing! What do you need to do to have a $75,000 decorating budget? Geez!

Here's a few more fun bedrooms that I wouldn't mind being in my house.

There is nothing cozier than a room with eaves and a sweet foral-print wallpaper.

All of these rooms look cozy and inviting, just what you want from a bedroom!

Cheers

PS- I was raised in Richmond and miss it dearly
