window transformation

Here is the 'before' of the windows. Plain and simple valances but I wanted to spice it up a little. Please excuse the mess and the cat scratching the post (we haven't told her she doesn't have claws yet). No comments from PETA people please! And yes, the beautiful flat screen is sitting on a coffee table. I'm still working on him to change this one. Remeber that this was a bachelor pad up until a month ago, so lots of work to still do.

Drumroll please....

Ta-da. I'm in love. You may notice that one side of each pole is missing a finial. I have to cut each pole down by 3 inches and put the finials on. I'm loving them so much I don't want to take them down. The room is a lot more cozy now, even thought it looks a little bright because of the flash. The fabric is by Annie Selke at Calico Corners. See the little bench beneath one of the windows? That was a wedding gift from my great aunt and I am going to make a 2" boxed cushion with ties for the legs. Read on for a picture of the fabric.

Here is a picture of the fabric in a picture I found on the Pine Cone Hill website.

Here is the fabric that I am going to do the cushion out of. It will be a 2" foam boxed cushion with contrast green welting and ties to criss cross around the legs. I hope it will be really cute. It's nice to work at a design firm because the workroom gives you good deals! The fabric is from Company C, which I love!
