Taylor, Taylor, Taylor! While I am not a big fan of Taylor Swift, she cleaned up the awards last night. It was definately her night to shine. Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year (questionable), Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year. Wow. And all at the tender age of 20? This is quite a feat. Personally, I think she does not sound good live. Maybe it's just the way it comes across on my tv because I haven't seen her in concert so maybe I'm not the best judge. I'm sure if I were 15 I would have her posters in my room. I will say the dance moves below seem to get a little crazy.
Brad Paisley is most favorite among favorites. He is always good. He and his wife are the cutest couple I have ever seen. He really is down to earth and I love how on every one of his cd's he includes a hymn. I would love to meet him one day. Male vocalist of the year!!! Go Brad! 
I absolutely love Lady Antebellum. They are my favorite group right now. I think Hillary Scott has a great voice. I think she can outsing most of the people who showed up last night! They have great songs and seem like really fun people! Single of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year beating out Rascal Flatts!
While Carrie Underwood has fabulous legs, is it necessary to wear this outfit? It kind of screams...LOOK AT MY LEGS! I thought her performance was good but sometimes the dance moves were a little silly. 
Reba is still looking good! She is in great shape! I love the royal blue on her too. 
The Judds have obviously used their earnings for hair dye, tanning products and plastic surgery. Still love their music.
I think I like Julianne Hough with the platinum blonde hair a little better. If they hadn't said her name as a presenter I probably wouldn't have known who she was. Also she and boyfriend Chuck Wicks have broken up. This surprised me because I thought they were adorable together.
Kellie Pickler is not thrilling me with her dark red hair and metallic dress. I did not like this ensemble at all. She looked really pale and the hair color did not look flattering. Bring back the blonde Kellie!
OH LeeAnn Rimes, who is your stylist? Look at this eye makeup! It looks like she has two black eyes! No Eddie Cibrian sightings either.

I agree with you on everything! I am not really liking Kellie Pickler's hair and Lady Antebellum is AMAZING!!! And congrats to Taylor but I just don't know, I mean she is clearly super talented but she doesn't have the best voice. I am not so sure she should have won Female Vocalist!
Nice recap :) As for Taylor... in person she actually does sound really good - pretty much exactly what she sounds like on the radio. I saw her about 2 years ago when she opened for Brad Paisley. I do have to agree with you about her not sounding good on TV - not sure what it is, but it definitely wasn't good!

Great recap. I'm pretty sure Taylor Swift just sounds horrible live, so it's not just your TV. I think she is way too young and I agree with you that I am not a big fan of hers either. I really wanted Brad Paisley to win entertainer of the year. I love him!
Wow. I completely agree with every single thing you said. Taylor Swift-while I like her she is kind of over done right now. And she totally did NOT deserve entertainer of the year! I totally thought Leann Rimes had two black eyes, yuck. And I just bought my Brad Paisley concert tickets for January, he is amazing (and oh so cute!!)
I thought they where awesome host together also!!
I totally agree about Taylor... i like her music recoreded on the radio or a CD, but live she hasnt impressed me yet.. i dont think she sounds real great in the department either.
Her Dance moves, where also very un-neccessary.
Carrie does have legs.. i thought the outfit was a little much too.
I know it seems like Reba is looking better than she use to. My hubby said she is getting hotter as she gets older!! LOL!!

Great re-cap! I love the CMA's. It is one show that is always great, year after year. I loved the opening with Carrie and Brad singing, too. I thought they really handled the Kanye West saga quite nicely. Ya, Taylor! And I agree with you about Kelly Pickler's hair color. It doesn't shout superstar, that's for sure. And it seemed odd that Rascal Flatts weren't cashing in the awards this year, but they really didn't have too much to cash in. I still love them.

I agree with you on some of this. Especially with Leann ... I can't believe she thought she looked good with that makeup.
I think that Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles has an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. voice!! She can really belt it out.

I watched them last night too! I have always loved Taylor's music.She's so cute, I hope she stays innocent and doesn't fall into the lure of fame, like so many young celebs. I love Lady Antebellum! They harmonize so well together! =)

So does anyone else notice how Taylor Swift grabs at her hair all of the time while she performing? She did it on SNL and I noticed it in the news recaps today from the awards show. It really bugs me... :)
i thought ALL THE SAME THINGS while i was watching it. what the hell was leanne thinking? her eyes look ridiculous!!!! she loosk stupid.
and pickler doesn't even look like her. the color is not flattering on her skin tone at all. if they didnt' say it was her, i wouldn't have known.
taylor dance moves were stupid. i was embarassed while i watched her attempt to ROCK OUT to a totally NOT rock song. it was ridiculous.
carrie and brad were hilarious and amazing and lord can that girl sing.

Great post! I loved the CMA's. Why would Eddie Cibrian leave his GORGEOUS model wife for a rude, ugly girl like Leann Rimes..ugh! Hated Kellie's hair, loved all of Carrie's dresses EXCEPT the sequin underwear/hotpants whatever they were. Taylor was great, love her..she just seems like such a nice girl. LOVE me some Lady Antebellum too but hated what she was wearing. UGH!

I think Taylors voice sucks too. Everytime I've seen her perform (on TV) I have been less than impressed. LOVED Carrie and Lady Antebellum.
