I lost over fifteen pounds for my wedding (six months ago) and gained it all back, plus some. Okay plus some more than that too. I have decided that it must come under control ASAP! I have always lost a few lbs, gained some, lost some more, and the vicious cycle continues! I keep telling myself that I. AM. IN. CONTROL, yet I still get a value sized meal at Chick-Fil-A. Go figure. I really want this to be the year in which I lose all my weight because if I ever want to have a baby, I need to get healthy. I don't want to be overweight, have a baby, gain 50 pounds, and then end up serious Biggest Loser potential. I have a gym membership, exercise dvd's, diet books, a Wii Fit and a Biggest Loser Wii game, so why do I have such an issue?
Can I get an amen from anyone?
I feel like this is the year! It can be your year too! And just to show you how much I want you to be as motivated as me, I am giving away a year's subscription to Fitness Magazine and a little surprise chosen by me. Any takers?
Here are the rules:One entry (1st comment) - Leave a motivational diet or fitness tip for everyone to be inspired by!
Second entry (2nd comment) - Become or already be a follower!
Third entry (3rd comment) - Blog about this on your blog and link it back to mine!
Easy as that! Please, oh please, leave each entry in a different comment space. This just helps me to count the separate entries. Contest starts 12-31-2009 and ends on 1-3-2009, Sunday, at 12 midnight. Good luck!
***Also please note that magazines take from 4-8 weeks to get the first issue. I will let you know once it has been ordered for you, but have no control over when your first issue will get to you. Thanks!

Very cool! I think the best thing you can do to try and live a healthy lifestyle and loose weight is to do some sort of exercise everyday!
Follower :)
What a neat giveaway! Very inspirational to readers. The best fitness tip I live by is COUNTING CALORIES. A person can work out all they want at the gym and burn 400-500 calories, but if they aren't serious about counting calories, then it could potentially be a waste.
Follower! Love all your cookies.
What a great New Years giveaway! You're certainly not alone in the wanting to get in shape!
My best fitness tip is to try to eat at least 20-30 grams of protein in your breakfast each morning. You should never skip breakfast and the extra protein will keep you fuller longer and will help you lose more weight.
And, of course, I'm a follower:)
I blogged too!

What a great idea!!! I may steal this for my giveaway, too-- and you gotta love Fitness magazine.
Good luck with your goals--you can do it and we can all hold each other accountable =)
As for a fitness/diet tip, mine is this: splurge on dessert {because most of us can't say no} once a week- it fixes your sugar craving, but you're not over indulging. And try the Sugar Free Jello Pudding Dulce De Leche- they're only 60 calories and YUMMY!
I am already a follower!
My fitness advice is to find something that you enjoy doing so you don't think of exercise as a "hassle." I do circuit training and I love it...so when I have to go to class I am excited, not dreading it. Also..Protein is the key to weight-loss!
I blogged about your giveaway here....

I don't know if this is good advice but it's what works for me... I cut out and tape up pictures of VS models all over the fridge so every time I start to eat something I shouldn't, I am reminded to eat healthy or exercise instead!
I am also a follower! So two entries for Brit.
Happy New year!
great give away! love you blog and I am hoping lose some lbs this year before I get preggos!
What a great giveaway. I'm currently trying to do the same thing. My best tip is to look at diet and exercise as a lifestyle change rather than a temporary thing. Dieting will just result in serious binging later, so you must allow yourself a cheat day. Also, the Abs Diet book is awesome, as is P90x! Good luck, and keep us posted!
Cool giveaway! Eat whole wheat. No white bread or pasta. And grilled chicken is a dieters Friend. The Abs Diet is one of the best diet/non diets I have ever done.
I could have swore I was a follower, but now I am;)
Oh how fun and so so cool! I would love to lose weight not only for my wedding this upcoming fall but to be healthy and confidant for ME! Very cool idea!
I think the best advice I can give is to be active (i.e. take the stairs, go for a walk with the hubs) and to eat what makes you feel good. If I eat fast food I feel like crap!! But after a big water, some fish and a salad, I feel full, light and fresh. Just being reasonable and treating your body like a temple (silly I know!) is the best advice I can give. And don't get lazy!!! :) xo
P.S. I am a follower and long-time blog stalker hehe
Thanks for offering this challenge! It's so inspirational!
1) The most effective weight loss tactics I have used would be using an eating journal. Write down everything you eat. It gives you a sense of perspective about how much you are eating and how heatlhy the items you are eat actually are. Also, vary the types of exercises you do from day to day. This keeps your body guessing and your muscles will react to new routines and burn more fat than doing the same routine each day.
2) I'm a new follower! Thanks for visiting my blog as well!
3) I've extended your challenge to all my followers as well and listed my reasons for wanting to take this challenge! http://fabulousyoungandnewlywed.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-year-new-you-giveaway.html
I think people need to realize the weight comes on slow and comes off slow and it is imperative to pace yourself and do it the right way....healthy diet and exercise...none of those HCG diets, etc. What a waste of time and money, not to mention damage to your body!
I am a new follower!
I also blogged about it! Thanks for sharing this opportunity Mrs. Lassiter!

I started working out with a trainer about two months ago and started blogging about it. That's helped me a lot. I love reading fitness magazines they are a little dose of motivation.
I love this giveaway. My husband and I started working on loosing weight at the end of September 2009. It has been a slow process but we are beginning to see results. We work out several times a week plus we watch our calorie intake. We no longer keep junk food in the house and try to limit to just health snacks when we are hungry outside of meals.

What a great idea! My best tip is to count calories and eat only a serving size. It makes it more okay if you have chips or icecream if you only eat one serving.
Just became a follower :)
I blogged also!

I may be the least in shape, least healthy girl out there. I can't think of one tip that I actually live by myself so I had to look one up. How sad is that? To live a healthier more fit lifestyle one site recommended reducing stress, which will help you to make healthier choices for diet & exercise.
THEY SAID:
Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.
