1. The Time Traveller's Wife
2. The Lovely Bones
3. Twilight
4. New Moon
5. Eclipse
6. My Sister's Keeper
7. Water For Elephants***(must-read)
8. The Shack (read some and didn't like it so I stopped!)
9. Harry Potter - The Sorcerer's Stone
10. Breaking Dawn (not quite finished)
My favorite book out of the ten was Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. This was an amazing book and I could not put it down. I read it in about four days. It takes place in the 1930's and tells the story of a young man who escapes his life by jumping on a train that ends up being a travelling circus. Man, is this book good! I've even read that there will be a movie made sometime in the distant future.
I also really liked The Lovely Bones. It was really freaky (if you've read it you know what I'm talking about) and I couldn't sleep when I first picked it up, so I waited three hours for my husband to come home before I turned the light off (1 am). Yikes! The movie comes out next week and I cannot wait to see it!
The Time Traveller's Wife (book) was pretty good, but the movie was totally not like the book. Lame.
And of course, the Twilight Series were all extremely good. I can't wait to finish Breaking Dawn to see what happens! I have an idea of what outcome I would like, but I fear that it's not gonna happen.
Did you read any fantastic books this year? Any suggestions for my 2010 list?

1. The Time Traveller's Wife (LOVED...didnt see the movie b/c I heard bad reviews)
2. The Lovely Bones (loved...but was disturbed at the same time)
3. Twilight (love)
4. New Moon (addicted)
5. Eclipse (1/2 way through now :))
6. My Sister's Keeper (read this a bit ago...and enjoyed very much!)
I better go get Water for Elephants, huh?!?...sounds like we have simar tastes so I bet I would really like it!
Thanks for the list :) Now if I can only find 5 seconds to read, I know where to start! Also, I'm surprised you didn't like The Shack. Not that I've read it, but all of my aunts, cousins, and even my mom, have read it and they all raved about it. So that would've actually been my first choice to start with. But now I may have to go with your suggestions instead ;)
Really enjoyed The Lovely Bones (her memoir, Lucky, is pretty good too) and My Sister's Keeper. One book I recommend to everyone is I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. Definitely one of the best books I've ever read!
I have heard several people say Water for Elephants is good.
I'm thinking it is one I will add to my "read list"
Thanks for the reviews!! Love the Twilight series.
You MUST read "THe Help." Couldn't put it down! About slavery and a white woman who wants to be a journalist and writes a book about what happens in the day of a life of a maid (from the maid's perspective)VERY COOL.
great book list! thanks for the tip on the camera too!
I am also in the midst of reading the Twilight series- on Eclipse right now and loving it!
I want to read "The Help"... I've been told it's awesome and The Lovely Bones is on my list too-- I'm also addicted to girly books by Emily Giffin= L O V E!
Breaking Dawn ended just the way I wanted. :)
I have read almost everything on your list and love them all!
One of the most profound books I've read is Same Kind of Different as Me. Told from the perspectives of a homeless man and a well-to-do volunteer at a shelter, the book describes the unlikely friendship between the two men.
This book will make you cry the biggest teardrops ever, but the (true) story is so worth it!
Happy New Year!
:) Kristi
