So what did I do? I emailed the seller. I told him that the product was old/expired, smelled offensive and how awful it was that he sell a product (with no returns) in such a state. My email to him was not hateful, but stern with how I felt about him sending such a bad lotion. I waited for a response only to get a three page email with this guy attacking my character! He is a wacky man! This is part of his email...
"Now, given I described the product correctly and had pictures depicting what you received on the site, I am within ebay guidelines. In most cases when people contact me, I am more than willing to bend over backwards to make sure they have a great transaction. However, in your case with your attacking emails, I am pretty dissatisfied myself and need some time to decide how I want to handle this. I will email you within 24 hours, thats 24, not 12 with what I will do to resolve this matter. Your threat of feedback doesn't scare me, just an FYI so maybe showing respect and being kind will do better for you. And contacting ebay won't amount to much either as I am within their guidelines with my listing. So, you can stop with the nasty emails, especially if you want me to work with you, as that is more reason that not for me just to leave the issue be.
Anyway, I will get back to you after I think about this some. Until then, I would recommend patience and some self reflection."
Patience and self-reflection??? Are you kidding me? What ever happened to customer service? So, I guess that he thinks it's okay to send old/expired products! Beware and please NEVER do business with this sham! His shop is called "its_now_sold" and he says that he sells products from retired MK consultants, meaning he sells their OLD products! How awful! I should have checked his negative feedback before buying because all of the negative commenters said their products were old!

Sorry about your bad ebay experience! Unfortunately, we have all been there. There are definitely one or two instances where it is hard to not get mad at false advertising but atleast I've gotten some other good deals along the way. And a side note but have you ever used that MK cream before? I got some of it new from a consultant about a month ago and even brand new, I honestly didn't really like the smell of it. It could be personal preference but just something to consider.
P.S. I'm a total lurker, but I love your blog! Your cookies always look amazing!
How awful! I've had my ebay experience and it's so disappointing to say the least.
I hope it all works out and thanks for telling us about this loonatic seller ;)
Omg what a jerk!!! I'd contact Ebay regarding his crappy product! He shouldn't be allowed to sell bad things!
I've had a couple bad experiences with Ebay myself, so now the only thing I buy there are books! Hope everything works out for you!
UGH.... Karma is a bit**
thats how i am able to get through experiences like this!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I always get excited when someone from outside my family stops by and comments. :)
I'm sorry to hear about your Ebay experience. I don't know how someone could, in good conscience, knowingly sell something that is expired. Yuck.
On a positive note, I absolutely LOVE all of your cookie creations! You are so talented! I wish I could make yummy treats like that! :)
I actually decided this week never to use eBay again. I sold some bags and a mix up happened in my mailroom at work with my boxes. Two bags were shipped to the wrong purchasers. I emailed both women immediately after finding out about the mix up and neither of them read their emails. Then one buyer filed a claim against me and I still have yet to hear from the other that received a more expensive bag of course. Good luck. I hope he makes good on your purchase and definitely leave him negative feedback and I would totally report him to eBay.
XOXO
I don't know what it is about Ebay and Etsy? It's like all customer service goes down the potty. Do they think because we aren't face to face that they can be nasty? I feel your pain sistah!
I have never had luck on ebay! But this guys is a jerk! I have had a couple of orders that took longer than expected to make and I always feel that it's my responsiblity to make sure my customers are satisifed and taken care of! If there is ever a time when I feel that I may have let the customer down I always throw in extra merch. Even if they say it's not necessary! It is! Your customers are your bread and butter. (even though right now...I'm "starving") LOL
