Pregnancy Highlights
How far along? 13 weeks (3 days)
Size of the baby? Baby is about three inches long and the size of a lemon.
Maternity Clothes? Oh how I love my maternity clothes! I've been wearing dresses lately and they are much more comfy than pants. I feel like my tummy can breathe!
Gender? Justin thinks boy, I'm starting to lean girl. When I talk about the baby or think about it, I think "she". I really don't care just as long as he or she is healthy!
Movement? No movement yet. Maybe in a fews weeks!
Sleep? Sleep has gotten much better. I bought the Boppy body pillow and it helps a lot with my back pain. The real pain about the pillow is flipping the entire thing at 3 am. Now that is fun...not!
Cravings? I am really into milk and turkey sandwiches, but don't worry, I am heating them. I've decided to cut out refined sugars for the most part, but if you offer me a piece of chocolate cake I'm not going to turn it down! I also gave up eating Easter candy and I've felt much better the past few days without sugar in my system.
Symptoms? I've started to get headaches but that's about it. I'm so fortunate not to have had any morning sickness! I did get nauseous once at school because all the kids had dry erase markers and the smell got to me. I stuck my head outside for some fresh air and was fine, thank goodness!
What I miss? I've been thinking a lot about how this is the last chunk of time where Justin and I will be together, just us two. We love to go out and do fun things around town together. I know that will never be the same and it will probably be better in my mind once the baby comes, I'm just sad sometimes that our time of just being a couple is running short.
Best Moment of the Week? My first graders at school are starting to notice the bump. They have been giving me hugs and telling me, "Mrs. Lassiter, it really looks like you could have a baby." So cute! I haven't told them yet, so I just smile and say, "I guess we will just have to see."

I also had the best pedicure of my life this week. My mom treated me to a deluxe and let me tell you, it was amazing. They massaged and rubbed my sore feet for over 30 minutes. It was heaven. Ever since it started getting really hot around here, I've been wearing all of my old and very uncomfortable sandals. I went to Nordstrom this week and bought these Born sandals. They are so comfortable and I just love anything made by Born.
The girls from our small group went out for a girls night and we had so much fun. We went out to dinner, stopped by the candy shop and then painted pottery. We had so much fun. Here is the best pic of the bump from this week. My friend Liz is also pregnant! We had a great time.
Also this week, Justin and I went to see the Bridesmaids movie premiere. It doesn't come out for two more weeks but I scored free tickets and we ended up being the first people in line for it (let me tell you, Justin was just thrilled about that). It was fall-out-of-your-seat-choke-on-your-popcorn kind of funny. Now, it was very raunchy at parts so don't say I didn't warn you! Overall a hilarious movie.
