Yesterday we headed to a Cartwheels and Coffee, a local coffee house/play place for a play date with our friends, Sam and Bella. My best girlfriend Ashley and I have been trying to get together for forever and yesterday was finally our day. The kids had so much fun. Ashley has been a very close friend now since sophomore year of college and now we have babies that are only four months apart.
It was also a beautiful day. The high was somewhere in the 70's, making the day even better.

There are several play areas and Avery just loved playing on everything, or with anything she could. Ashley introduced her to the steps on the jungle gym and that is all she wanted to do. She did so great walking up the stairs but the slide was so steep and slick that I was terrified she'd bust her bottom. We played in this activity area for a while and then headed to another room with a train table and kitchen set.
Ashley and I got to catch up a bit over coffee but with three energetic one year olds, we could barely sit for five minutes without someone wanting a snack, diaper change, book read to them, etc. I know all of you moms understand. We played for about two hours so the kids would get super worn out and ready for their naps after lunch. Such sneaky mamas we are.
Afterwards we headed home for lunch and a nap before heading back out to a local park. It was a great day!

What a cool little place! Looks like a fun day :)
Good gracious that slide is slick! I like the concept of that place but feel awkward when I have hot coffee and am trying to chase a toddler/help her down the slide! There is nowhere to set it and I don't want it to spill! Maybe it should be sippy cups of wine and cartwheels ;)
