Last week we headed to my old alma mater, Longwood University, where I attended undergrad.
The drive is about an hour and twenty minutes so we packed up the car and headed on a little road trip.
Anybody who didn't have a Macado's in their college town is seriously missing out. I hadn't been in years and I stuck by my old classic, the Babe Ruth (croissant with turkey and melted muenster).
Y'all this is the stuff dreams are made of. So, so divinely yummy.
And why yes, that is an SLR camera shot of my menu. I got stares but mama no cares.
Heaven.
Oops, got these too.
Bikini body workout (minus the bikini) to resume.
My little peanut about to get the best grilled cheese ever. She was such a doll that day.
She's also got a new favorite thing to do.
The head shake.
We took a trip to the art department to visit my friend (who was our Longwood mom), Janet, who is the secretary for the art dept. My best girlfriend Ashley and I used to leave class and sit in her office for hours a while and talk. She loves us so!
Janet has met Avery but hasn't seen her since June!
Have I ever mentioned my child is hard to handle? These are the best pics from our visit.
And just for memories, I took pictures of the three places I lived in college. Bittersweet!
My apartment during my junior and freshmen years.
The French dorm, where I lived during my freshman year. They've gutted the inside to rebuild.
My sophomore dorm building, Frazer.
I went to Longwood in the fall of 2000, almost 13 years ago. I still remember move in day like yesterday.
Life was so carefree and going to class and doing homework were your greatest responsibilities.
Enjoy the time college kiddos!

Looks so fun to go back and visit. Oh my goodness, the head shake... adorable!! :) And that food looks so tasty!
That was indeed a good day!
Crazy - i grew up in Farmville (I think we've discussed that before, maybe?) & Janet is one of my familys neighbors down the street. Her younger daughters were in school with my brothers. Any trip to Macado's is a good trip! :-)
